While I have done many things over my years, having my own flower shop has been a deep rooted dream for most of my life. My mum instilled a love of flowers as she would walk with me through our garden, finding snowdrops under dead leaves, and always pointing out the first blooms of the season. I would help myself and make bouquets to bring in—from bluebells and dandelions to her wonderful (yet few) peonies!

I have a few “baseline” joys that I am committed to:

• I always want to extend welcome. Every single person is so valuable and deserves to belong.
• Everyone deserves beauty. Flowers are the most accessible beauty and express love and care to anyone who receives or even just experiences them.
• Joy is contagious.

My husband John and I grow a small plot of flowers in our garden in West Mount Vernon. When he isn’t building and renovating with Wilson Whole Home, he can be found tending our plot, ensuring everything looks and grows beautifully.

And now, I have the great joy of sourcing blooms from other amazing and accomplished growers, many within 5–10 miles of the shop. Pinch me!!
